Manufacturing Associate - Press

Sheridan MN is looking for a detailed oriented, motivated individual to join our team.  In this role, you will be a key player working on our newest printing press – performing a variety of tasks including set-up, loading paper and recording production data. 

This is a 3rd shift position - working Monday - Thursday nights, 7 PM - 7 AM with potential for overtime hours.

What You’ll Do:

• Ensure paper is loaded, and all plates, stock, ink, and proofs for the next job are at the press before previous job is completed.
• Empty waste ink, chemical containers, and soiled rag containers daily.
• Monitor pH and conductivity of fountain solution on presses.
• Ensure work produced exceeds quality guidelines.
• Accurately record production data on job tickets, load slips etc.
• Work with Press Operator to ensure preventive maintenance is performed each week.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, job tickets, and procedure manuals.
• Understand basic math.
• Able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Two years+ in trade on similar equipment.
• Graphic arts and/or technical school background.
• Ability to read a ruler.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing – up to 12 hours per shift.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds.
• Hearing protection and safety toe shoes required.
