Manufacturing Associate III (Woodshop Fabrication)

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Associate III to join the Integrated AV Team in Warsaw, IN. The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for safely setting up and operating a variety of woodworking and manufacturing equipment to produce quality products according to production schedules, drawings, work instructions, and established safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will be capable of learning multiple machines and processes, working independently, troubleshooting basic issues, and supporting the training and development of other associates.

• Safely set up, operate, and monitor a variety of woodshop and manufacturing equipment.
• Operate multiple types of equipment, which may include table saws, edgers, presses, and other machinery as needed.
• Read and follow drawings, blueprints, BOMs, work instructions, and production specifications.
• Inspect materials and finished products for defects, accuracy, dimensions, and overall quality.
• Accurately use measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, daily maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Identify and communicate equipment, material, process, and quality issues and take appropriate corrective action.
• Become proficient and certified on multiple workstations to support changing production needs.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining safety, quality, productivity, and schedule requirements.
• Train and assist other associates once proficient in assigned equipment and processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using 5S principles.
• Support other workstations or departments as needed.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new equipment and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Basic math, measurement, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability and willingness to train and assist other associates.
• Proven reliability, including consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production requirements.
• Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.

Physical/Working Conditions:

• Ability to stand and work for up to 10 hours per day.
• Frequently bend, twist, stoop, kneel, squat, reach overhead, and use hands and fingers to manipulate materials.
• Frequently use vibrating and pneumatic tools.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Work around machinery, wood dust, noise, spray fumes, and other typical shop hazards.
• Work in a shop/assembly/distribution environment that may not be air conditioned.
• Steel-toed shoes and other required PPE are mandatory.
