ND Sheets is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Assistant to join our production team. This hands-on role supports quality assurance, packaging, and material handling processes, playing a vital part in maintaining product excellence and efficient workflow. The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment, has a keen eye for detail, and adheres to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control:

  • Perform visual and physical inspections of finished sheet products to ensure they meet established quality standards.
  • Identify defects, inconsistencies, or damage, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Accurately document inspection results, defects, and corrective actions.
  • Work alongside the quality team to uphold and improve quality procedures.

Production Support:

  • Assist in loading jumbo rolls into production equipment.
  • Select and load appropriate carton boxes and ream wrappers for packaging tasks.
  • Repack and rework damaged or non-conforming packages to ensure product integrity.
  • Monitor and report inventory levels of packaging supplies to prevent shortages.
  • Ensure all packaging materials meet required standards before use.

Workplace Efficiency & Safety:

  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to support smooth and efficient operations.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and proper handling procedures for materials and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area. 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production environments is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to follow safety procedures and company policies.
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials as needed.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse/manufacturing setting with noise and temperature variations.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to operate hand tools for maintenance tasks.

Skills Required
