Lead an Assembly Team
The Manufacturing and Assembly Supervisor oversees all distribution assembly, inventory control, and logistics functions within a high‑volume small‑package fulfillment environment. This role is responsible for managing daily production workflows, creating and maintaining production and staffing schedules, and supervising both full‑time and temporary assembly staff. The supervisor forecasts staffing needs to meet fluctuating operational demands, ensures all quality standards are met, and maintains a safe, compliant work environment. This position plays a key role in driving efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across all assembly operations.

What You'll Do
You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of our assembly and fulfillment team, ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading daily manufacturing and assembly operations to achieve production, quality, and safety objectives.
- Planning production schedules and forecasting staffing needs to meet seasonal demand.
- Supervising, coaching, and developing both full-time and temporary employees.
- Monitoring production quality while implementing processes that improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
- Managing inventory availability, work orders, material flow, and production priorities to meet customer commitments.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to coordinate inventory control, production scheduling, and work-in-process activities.
- Monitoring project milestones and production timelines to ensure products are ready for release as scheduled.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational performance and team effectiveness.
What You Bring
We're looking for an experienced manufacturing leader who combines strong operational knowledge with a passion for developing people.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Five or more years of experience in a discrete manufacturing or fulfillment environment.
- Three or more years of direct leadership experience in production or manufacturing operations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience with ERP and warehouse management systems; NetSuite and Infios Edge experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- The ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- A commitment to workplace safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
Work Environment
This position is based in our Elgin, Illinois manufacturing facility and involves working in an active warehouse environment. The role includes standing for extended periods, lifting materials, and supervising daily production activities while maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
Compensation
Final compensation may vary based on factors including relevant skills, experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
