The Role

OVERVIEW

The Insights product is one of the products offering for Guidepoint's Institutional investment and corporate clients, that offers teleconferences, surveys, and in-person events. The teleconferences live in a transcript library portal, which covers a wide of industries/topics that enables our clients to make informed decisions. All content features experts from Guidepoint’s proprietary global network and is conceptualized and hosted by former investment professionals (i.e., private equity/hedge fund), sell-side equity research analysts, and industry professionals.  Visit Insights team biographies at https://www.guidepoint.com/insights/#team

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Manual transcription:

  • Listen to audio recordings and transcribe the spoken content into clear and accurate written text.
  • Review and edit transcriptions, generated by AI, to ensure they are free of errors and accurately reflect the original content.
  • Format transcriptions according to Guidepoint specifications and standards. Ensure Guidepoint editorial style guide and protocols are adhered to.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Meet deadlines for transcription projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Utilize transcription software and tools as needed.
  • Communicate with team members or team leader or QA leads to clarify any uncertainties regarding the content or format.

WHAT WE EXPECT:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience (2+ years) in transcribing for specific industries (e.g., legal, medical, financial)
  • Certification or training in transcription is a plus.
  • Familiarity with transcription software and tools is a plus.
  • Strong command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to comprehend various accents and speech patterns.
  • Proficiency in typing with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment; Effective time management and organizational skills
