We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Manual Game Tester with strong
documentation skills to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of hands-on
experience in testing games manually across various platforms and a proven ability to create
clear, structured test and pre-production documentation. You will work closely with game
developers, and project managers to ensure game stability, usability, and an exceptional player
experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and maintain manual test cases across multiple game builds and
platforms (WebGL, Mobile, PC). - Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Trello,
Asana). - Write comprehensive test plans, test cases, checklists, regression test matrices, and
Feature specification documents, user stories and use case documents. - Collaborate with developers and designers to understand features and define edge
cases and critical gameplay scenarios. - Test for gameplay balance, usability, accessibility, localization, UI/UX issues, and
performance optimization. - Assist in scope clarification and risk assessment during pre production , feature design
and sprint planning - Validate fixes and verify regression coverage in updated builds.
- Participate in playtests and provide qualitative gameplay feedback.
- Maintain detailed QA documentation and reports for internal stakeholders and audits.
- Familiarity with game engines (Unity, Unreal) from a QA perspective.
- Experience working on cross-functional Agile teams and participating in sprint
planning and retrospectives. - Understanding of UX testing, accessibility testing, and localization QA.
- 3–4 years of experience as a Manual Game Tester in a professional game development
environment. - Strong understanding of game development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and
SDLC. - Experience testing strategy, simulation, or multiplayer games is a big plus.
- Expertise in using test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, Xray) and bug trackers
(JIRA, Mantis, etc.). - Ability to write and maintain documentation including test cases, logs, bug reports,
and feature validations. - Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and critical thinking.
- Passion for games and a keen eye for quality and player experience.
