What You Will Do
- Partner with the functional groups to assess business needs utilizing structured interview processes to establish business priorities and document clear requirements.
- Conduct investigation and collaborate with other technical subject matter experts to provide technical advice on adoption or integration of innovative technologies and corresponding business impact.
- Develop alternative technical solutions; advise on options, risks, costs and benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
- Serve as a Manhattan Active functional configuration expert to develop, test and implement significant new capabilities, configure applicable module(s) to design optimal solution.
- Review, validate and enhance design, conduct performance monitoring and capacity planning; install, test and upgrade releases and associated products.
- Evaluate Manhattan Active notes, new functionality, and upcoming releases for assigned modules.
- Recommend operational improvements or devise innovative approaches to technical or process issues to meet business objectives.
- Develop, motivate, and provide direction to technical team in a way that facilitates the creation of a team environment and enables team to fulfill the department's operation objectives.
- Lead in the development of standards and procedures and publish/communicate findings via IOI’s, presentations, white papers, etc.
- Estimate enhancements with IT partners such as Manhattan Associates, Managed services, Internal IT groups
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration or another relevant discipline.
- 8+ years combined experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer engineering in each of the following:
- 8+ years' experience in full life cycle of WMS projects.
- 8+ years' experience of Warehouse processes module design, configuration, testing.
- Experience with peripheral systems and equipment such as label printing solutions, printers, scanners, MHE equipment such as conveyors, PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), pick by light solutions.
- Sound knowledge of interface mapping and integration with legacy/3rd party applications that support the warehouse eco-system.
- Handling and Storage Unit Management.
- Experience in facilitating resolution of cross-team integrated topics.
- Expertise in identifying root cause through analysis.
- Strong understanding of Technology teams and processes.
- Understanding of business operations and how they relate to customer support.
- Experience and knowledge in integrating SAP with non-SAP systems, including internally developed and off-the-shelf software.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM).
- Hands-on experience developing MAWM extensions with Manhattan’s ProActive developer tool.
- Hands-on experience deploying MAWM configurations and extensions between environments using Configuration Director toolset.
- Hands-on experience or working knowledge of SCI reporting with MAWM.
- ERP integration experience strongly preferred.
