Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and standardize and prepare controls for the revenue accounting close process, including but not limited to the detailed review of all revenue recognition entries and supporting documentation, analytical review and assessment, and the preparation and review of revenue related reporting and presentations.
- Verify monthly/quarterly sales commissions & other variable commissions for all quota-carrying and variable-pay roles in accordance with approved compensation plans.
- Ability to apply GAAP accounting standards, such as ASC 606, to the SaaS industry, and identify accounting implications and impacts while collaborating with team members cross-functionally to develop processes to record revenue timely and help us scale.
- Review non-standard customer agreements to evaluate revenue recognition impacts and propose solutions that align with internal policies and company objectives.
- Document/review accounting conclusions in audit ready memos and lead communication of those conclusions among internal and external stakeholders, including auditors.
- Oversee the collections process, monitor aging reports, and manage collections activities to minimize outstanding receivables.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve cash flow, reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and optimize working capital.
- Work cross-functionally with the FPnA, treasury, go-to-market systems, sales operations, and professional services teams to streamline processes.
We’d love to hear from you, if you:
- CA or CPA with 7+ years of experience is required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in management capacity is required.
- Experience in a similar role with SaaS Industry and ASC 606 will be preferred.
- Experience with foreign exchange and intercompany transactions preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functional units and levels within the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
