V.Ships Leisure is looking for Mandarin speaking Barman on behalf of Ponant Cruises.
As a Barman you will look after your own bar and lounge. You will be responsible for taking guest orders, preparing drinks, service and cleanliness of the area.
You will need a strong knowledge of international brands and cocktails, as well as a desire to please guests.

Key Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and follow the schedule.
- Serve the alcoholic drinks, conforming to the law and policy of the company usage regulations of other countries.
- To know the international cocktails and the different liquors and spirits to advise the passengers on their choice.
- Keep very high cleanliness around the bars under the USPH, HACCP rules and fill out the cleaning logs every day.
- Highlight our premium selection, our promotions and workshops which will be decided by the Bar Manager.
- Contribute at different training sessions and meeting.
- Respect the garbage storage plan.
- Use in a right way the sanitary equipment on board.
- Respect the safety rules on board.
- To be able to work with a team spirit but also alone behind one bar and follow properly the steps of a typical working day (opening and closing of the bar, set up everything, provide e 5-star service)
- To be able to do other duties, which can be given by the bar manager of the hotel manager (win service in the restaurant, loading….)
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- Advance level of Chinese language
- Valid STCW95 certification.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position at an International 5 star establishment.
- Excellent knowledge of American bar service.
- General knowledge of wines, liquors, brandies and ports.
- Knowledge of Public Health policies and procedures.
- Physically and medically fit.
- Moral integrity is required.
- Excellent fluent English
