Managing Principal, Commercial – Papua New Guinea
Location: Papua New Guinea (Expatriate relocation available)
We are seeking client-focused professionals with strong organisational skills and leadership ability. Marsh invites you to join our team in Papua New Guinea as a Managing Principal, leading our Commercial practice and managing key clients and new business growth. This role offers exciting opportunities to lead a talented team, develop new business, and contribute to Marsh’s success.
Relocation support (Marsh Mobility Plan), visa and work permit assistance, a fully furnished company vehicle, accommodation and associated costs, travel and relocation allowances, medical and associated insurance, are all included in the overall remuneration package.
We will count on you to:
Manage and grow a portfolio of key commercial accounts, ensuring outstanding service and client satisfaction.
Lead, mentor, and develop national staff with training aligned to Department of Labour requirements.
Prepare and achieve team business plans, revenue, and expense budgets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and internal teams.
Develop and implement renewal and broking strategies exceeding targets.
Oversee claims management strategies for complex claims and support equitable settlements.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards, legislation, and risk policies.
Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.
Manage team performance through delegation, feedback, and reviews.
Maintain strict control over expenses and utilise Marsh’s resources effectively.
What you need to have:
Proven leadership experience managing teams in commercial insurance.
Strong commercial awareness of financial, regulatory, and market factors.
Excellent client service and communication skills.
Ability to manage budgets and deliver profitable outcomes.
Knowledge of insurance products, claims management, and FSRA compliance.
Relevant professional qualifications (Fellowship of the Institute, Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker).
Degree in Insurance or related field.
