Job Description:
The Managing Partner and Associate Director will support Intermountain Health’s mission and vision by fostering innovations that can transform healthcare. This position will oversee and be responsible for new market-driven and collaborative opportunity development. This position will actively assist in leading the Mindshare Institute and in driving strategic focus and prioritization for the Institute. This position will also directly lead the business creation and investment functions of the Institute and promote the Mindshare Institute externally. This position will report to the Executive Director of the Mindshare Institute (aka, the Executive Director, Intermountain Health Institute).
This position is primarily remote, but will require in-person attendance, as needed, at Intermountain Health's corporate headquarters in Salt Lake City. Additional business travel required as necessary. Intermountain Health maintains employment registration in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming. Candidates in other locations may be considered. Currently, we are not hiring remote workers in the following states: CA, CT, HI, IL, NY, RI, VT, and WA.
This is a Mindshare Institute leadership role - supporting the day-to-day management of Mindshare Institute market-driven collaborations and coordinating with counterparties and key stakeholders throughout the healthcare ecosystem.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree
- Extensive experience building, financing, and exiting health care companies
- Strong understanding of research, presentation development and valuation methodologies
- Reliability, and the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities
- Demonstrated ability working directly with CEOs and entrepreneurs on new business creation
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate on decisions as part of a partnership
- Demonstrated ability to gain the trust and work strategically with C-suite executives and other stakeholders across the broad health care ecosystem to identify needs and opportunities and source solutions
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and move quickly in a fast-paced and complex environment
- Demonstrated decision-making ability and business judgment
- Demonstrated technical and analytical skills
- Demonstrated communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
The Mindshare Institute aims to establish a leadership group with diverse expertise across its partners, including individuals with 10+ years in relevant industries, preferably in asset management, corporate/business development, financial services, mergers, acquisitions or divestitures, venture capital and/or management consulting.
- Significant private capital experience and network
- Significant clinical experience
- Significant experience working across Intermountain stakeholders
- Medical or other clinical degree
This is an exempt, full-time position with a pay range of $392,500 to $475,000. Pay offers are determined by prior years of relevant experience within the established pay range. In addition to the annual salary, to show our commitment to you and assist with your transition into our organization, we may offer a sign-on and relocation bonus when applicable. With this position, you are eligible to participate in the Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan. This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected Board-approved goals.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
