Let’s start with the role

We are seeking a dynamic, highly commercial, and vision-driven Managing Director for Spain to lead our operations from our office in Ceuta. In this executive role, you will hold ultimate accountability for the commercial success, operational efficiency, financial performance, and regulatory standing of our online gaming and sportsbook platform in the Spanish market.

This role requires a blend of strategic financial oversight and hands-on operational leadership. You will manage an on-site team, drive localized marketing campaigns, and own the Spanish P&L, including forecasting and defending commercial performance on a quarterly basis. In addition, you will serve as one of the company’s appointed Board Members for the Spanish entity, contributing to governance, strategic decision-making, and regulatory oversight while reinforcing the company’s corporate substance in Ceuta. 

As a Managing Director, you will:
 
Financial Performance & Board Governance

Ownership & Forecasting: Full accountability for the Spanish Commercial KPIs. Responsible for driving detailed quarterly forecasting and defending financial performance, budget allocations, and strategic growth projections directly to the Executive Team and Board.

Board Participation: Serve as one of the company’s appointed Board Members for the Spanish entity, contributing to corporate governance, strategic decision-making, and regulatory oversight. Act as a key pillar of the company’s operational and corporate substance in Ceuta, ensuring local governance, management presence, and decision-making standards remain fully aligned with regulatory and corporate requirements, while actively participating in formal Board of Directors meetings and presenting operational, commercial, and financial updates. 

Corporate Efficiency: Continuously review internal workflows, vendor relationships, and resource allocation to ensure maximum operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness within the Spanish division.

Team Leadership & Culture

People Management: Directly lead, mentor, and run an on-site team consisting of marketing, compliance, operations, and customer support roles and fostering a high-performance, accountable culture.

Local Hub Substance: Build and maintain a strong company presence in Ceuta, ensuring the office aligns perfectly with regional operational hub requirements.

Commercial Strategy & Marketing Execution

Campaign Drive: Define and execute the localized marketing strategy. Actively drive acquisition, retention, and branding campaigns tailored specifically to the Spanish player base.

Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary bridge between global marketing/product frameworks and local execution teams to ensure seamless campaign implementation and localized brand consistency.

KPI Optimization: Continually monitor and optimize core commercial KPIs to fit the brand's strategy in Spain.

Product Optimization & Localization

Product Gap Analysis: Conduct ongoing competitive benchmarking of our Sportsbook and Casino products against the Spanish market to identify UX friction points and content gaps.

Roadmap Prioritization: Translate local market gaps into airtight business cases, liaising with global tech teams to ensure critical Spanish product fixes are prioritized appropriately.


What you’ll bring

Industry Experience: 7-10+ years of leadership experience within the Online Gaming (iGaming) or Sportsbook industry, with deep knowledge of the Spanish market and the Ceuta operational ecosystem.

Leadership Track Record: Proven experience managing, scaling, and maintaining accountability for a team, with a strong focus on execution, accountability, and business performance.

Commercial & Marketing Depth: A strong background in driving modern iGaming commercial initiatives (Commercial, CRM, Marketing) and working with local teams to bring campaigns to life.

Location: Must be permanently based in, or willing to relocate to, Ceuta, Spain to attend local board meetings and manage the office on-site.

Languages: Native or fluent proficiency in Spanish and professional fluency in English are required.

Skills Required

  • 7-10+ years leadership experience in Online Gaming (iGaming) or Sportsbook, with deep knowledge of the Spanish market and Ceuta operational ecosystem
  • Proven track record managing, scaling, and maintaining accountability for cross-functional teams (marketing, compliance, operations, customer support)
  • Experience owning P&L, financial forecasting, budget allocation and defending commercial performance to executive teams/boards
  • Experience driving localized commercial, CRM and marketing initiatives in iGaming
  • Willingness to be permanently based in or relocate to Ceuta, Spain and run an on-site office/hub
  • Native or fluent Spanish and professional fluency in English
  • Experience participating in Board governance and fulfilling regulatory oversight responsibilities
  • Ability to translate local product gaps into business cases and liaise with global tech teams
