About the Role

Our Corporate Positioning and Insights practice seeks an experienced Creative Content Director with 15+ years of experience to join the team in our New York, Chicago or Washington, D.C. office. We're looking for a strategic, collaborative leader to grow our content strategy capability and help clients communicate complex ideas in compelling and meaningful ways. Working across corporate positioning, public affairs, reputation, digital, and integrated campaigns, you'll partner closely with subject matter experts across a number of industries to shape breakthrough ideas that connect with audiences across owned, earned, paid, and social channels. As a leader on the creative team, you'll help define how creative content continues to evolve as a core offering within the practice. This is a highly collaborative leadership role for someone equally passionate about building teams, shaping strategy, and developing creative ideas that drive measurable business impact.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of content strategists, establishing best practices, frameworks, and quality standards across the practice

  • Manage team resourcing, workload planning, and professional development while helping identify future talent needs

  • Lead the development of integrated campaign platforms, messaging frameworks, and cross-channel content strategies that translate research and audience insights into compelling stories

  • Develop integrated content ecosystems that ensure consistent storytelling across websites, social media, video, executive communications, thought leadership, and paid media

  • Lead creative workshops and brainstorming sessions with clients and internal teams

  • Partner with creative directors, designers, writers, video producers, and digital strategists to bring integrated campaigns to life, providing strategic direction and creative feedback throughout

  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor to clients, leading workshops and presenting creative recommendations to executive stakeholders

  • Build trusted client relationships and identify opportunities to expand engagements

  • Support business development through pitches, proposals, and thought leadership

  • Champion innovation by integrating emerging technologies and AI-enabled workflows into content development

Basic Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in creative strategy, content strategy, integrated marketing, or a related field, preferably within an agency or consulting environment

  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing content strategy or creative teams

  • Proven success developing integrated campaigns, creative platforms, and multi-channel content strategies for complex organizations or brands

  • Exceptional storytelling, strategic thinking, and editorial judgment, with the ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives

  • Strong understanding of digital ecosystems, including social media, video, paid media, executive communications, and emerging content formats

  • Experience translating research and insights into actionable, client-ready strategies

  • Experience facilitating executive workshops and influencing senior client stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams and high-profile client engagements in a fast-paced environment

  • Curiosity about AI-powered content tools and emerging technologies, with enthusiasm for applying them to improve team and client outcomes

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a passion for mentoring others

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Compensation
Minimum Pay:$160,000.00
Maximum Pay:$262,500.00
Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual’s location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
