The Managing Director (MD) will be accountable for driving sustainable business growth, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. The MD will be a visionary and commercially astute executive, capable of leading diverse teams, strengthening government and regulatory relationships, expanding market share, and delivering superior value to customers, investors, and stakeholders. This role requires a world-class business leader with significant experience in financial services, fintech, or high-growth multinational environments, and a strong track record of building and scaling profitable businesses across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
• Define and execute PalmPay's strategic growth agenda across assigned markets.
• Drive expansion into new territories, partnerships, and revenue opportunities.
• Provide visionary leadership to ensure PalmPay maintains competitive advantage in fintech innovation.
Operational Excellence
• Oversee end-to-end business operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Implement scalable operational structures to support rapid growth.
• Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement. Financial Performance & Governance
• Deliver sustained financial growth and profitability in line with Board expectations.
• Partner with executive team to ensure effective financial planning, budgeting, and capital allocation.
• Report regularly to the Board of Directors on business performance, risks, and opportunities. Regulatory & Stakeholder Engagement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with governments, regulators, financial institutions, and industry associations.
• Ensure strict compliance with global and local regulatory requirements across all markets.
• Serve as PalmPay's key external representative, strengthening its brand and reputation. Talent & Organizational Leadership
• Lead, inspire, and develop a world-class management team.

Key Qualifications
- Education & Professional Background.
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred).
• 18+ years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 10 years in CEO, MD, or senior executive roles in fintech, banking, telecommunications, or multinational corporations.
• Proven success in scaling high-growth businesses in emerging markets. Expertise • Deep knowledge of financial services, digital banking, payments, and fintech ecosystems.
• Strong track record in P&L management, corporate governance, and stakeholder relations.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex regulatory environments across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong commercial acumen, with expertise in business development, M&A, and strategic partnerships.
