The Managing Director, Europe will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of YETI’s operations in our European markets. This role is pivotal in scaling our brand presence, optimizing operations, and delivering exceptional customer experiences across Europe. The role will work from one of our hub offices in Amsterdam or Bristol and will report directly to our Chief Executive Officer.  

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall business strategy for the European markets, aligning with the company's global vision and goals.
  • Global Collaboration and Regional Ownership: Serve as the primary driver of YETI’s success in Europe by owning and executing region-specific strategies that align with global objectives. Make strategic and operational decisions tailored to the different European markets, while actively partnering with global headquarters to ensure mutual alignment, share insights, and influence global priorities based on regional consumers, performance and opportunities.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, including market entry strategies, new product launches, and expansion into new channels and/or new partnerships.
  • Marketing and Brand Strategy: Develop and implement marketing strategies to strengthen brand presence and recognition across the European markets. Drive market penetration and long-term brand equity across Europe.
  • Customer Focus: Enhance the customer experience across all touchpoints, leveraging data and insights to drive customer engagement and loyalty. Provide local market insights to inform product development and support the product roadmap.
  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, and coach a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. 
  • Financial Management: Own the regional P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
  • Sales Management: Drive sales performance across the European markets, through the sales channel leaders by setting and achieving sales targets, guiding local market sales strategies, and ensuring the team is managing key accounts to maximize revenue growth.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage the team that oversees day-to-day operations, related to optimizing supply chain processes, managing logistics operations, controlling inventory levels, and managing third-party partners.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all operations comply with local regulations and industry standards, mitigating risks and safeguarding the company's reputation. Partner with Finance, Technology, Legal and Talent teams at the head office for additional support.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 20+ years of experience, with a strong track record in omni-channel sales for consumer goods.
  • Demonstrated success in launching and scaling brands across Europe, leveraging both internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a focus on delivering revenue growth and exceptional customer experiences.

  • Communicating with Impact. Experience with working in an international company, interacting and communicating across various cultures and experience with managing a multi-country scope. Tailors level of detail and transparency in communications, depending on audience and circumstances.
  • Inspirational Leadership. Ability to effectively communicate a vision that inspires people across the organization to act. Highly respected, trusted, relatable and humble leader who most people aspire to be like as they build their own leadership style at YETI. 
  • Holistic Ownership. Tenacious view of our ecosystem and impact of decisions cross-functionally, locally, globally, employee, customer, or supplier. Drives cross-functional agreement; pulls in the right people; leverages contextual data and stakeholders to produce a well-rounded solution.
