BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring a Managing Director of Application Services (AI Applications and SDLC). In this role, you'll lead the transformation of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and integrate AI tooling into every phase of the SDLC in the Enterprise Information Technology division.
Job Responsibilities
- Providing leadership, guidance, and oversight to EIT management and staff in support of current and future corporate and division initiatives.
- Maintaining relationships with clients; communicating with IT and business management. Monitoring prompt response and support for technical issues.
- Ensuring high standards and quality of technical work. Directing reviews of tools and technologies for improving performance and reducing costs.
- Directing, motivating, developing and managing the performance of the management team and key staff.
- Directing and managing the delivery of large or complex application development projects. Defining strategies and client needs focused on technology development.
- Working closely with management throughout BCBST to establish priorities for projects/efforts, set staffing levels, manage operational excellence and manage expectations regarding capabilities to execute on these efforts.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or commensurate experience in a professional environment, required.
Experience
- 10 years – Information Technology and Operational management experience required
- 5 years - Experience in a leadership/management role required
- 1 year - Project management, account management or similar experience required
- 1 year – Process improvement or process reengineering experience required
- 1 year - Strong knowledge of software/system testing metrics, best practices, and methodologies (manual and automated)
- 1 year - Experience with large scale projects
- 1 year - Experience in budget administration required
Skills\Certifications
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to perform non-routine analytical tasks
- Ability to comprehend technical instructions and explain/breakdown problems and issues
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Adaptive to high pace and changing environment
