Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard's rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.
The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Deploy. Our Deploy consultants lead clients through business transformations by implementing strategically important Mastercard assets and services to bring value and drive growth. They serve as the Center of Engagement across all stakeholders within Mastercard and the client's organization.

Roles and Responsibilities
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Cards Product Subject Matter Expert Manager to support the development, scaling, and optimization of credit and debit card portfolios for international banks. This role will focus on delivering innovative products, driving marketing initiatives, and growing Mastercard's partnership with international banks both on core business and value-added services.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Scaling
-Define and execute a roadmap to scale credit and debit card products across multiple customer segments.
-Identify opportunities for portfolio growth, including premium, exclusive and digital-first offerings.
-Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to ensure differentiation and profitability.
Cards Product Management
-Manage end-to-end lifecycle for both credit and debit cards, including pricing, rewards, and feature enhancements.
-Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design card features, user experience, and value propositions.
-Manage relationships with fulfillment vendors.
Marketing & Go-to-Market
-Collaborate with Marketing to design acquisition campaigns, retention programs, and cross-sell strategies for credit and debit cards.
-Develop targeted promotions leveraging customer insights and digital channels.
-Measure campaign performance and optimize based on data-driven insights.
-Partnership with our Account Team for Value-Added Services delivery
-Support Mastercard account teams to grow Mastercard share with partner banks and resolve any day-to-day inquiries from banks.
-Identify opportunities to leverage Mastercard value-added services (e.g., consulting, analytics, marketing and loyalty solutions) in driving product growth.
-Explore innovative services such as installment programs, lifestyle benefits, and merchant offers.
Analytics & Performance
-Track KPIs for both credit and debit cards: activation, spend, retention, and profitability.
-Conduct data analysis to improve product features and marketing ROI.
We want to hear from you if you have
-Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field
-7+ years of experience in payments, card programs, fintech product management, or card scheme operations.
-Proven success in launching and managing debit or credit card products for international banks, preferably in Hong Kong.
-Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
-Strong communication skills.
-Fluent in Cantonese and English is a plus
-Experience in delivering strong outcomes in an Agile environment
-Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including the ability to progress multiple initiatives concurrently
