Job DescriptionWhat you will do:
We are seeking a highly experienced Lab operation manager, RAC/PAC/VRF Product Testing & Validation Engineer with strong knowledge of RAC/PAC/VRF testing standards & their requirements, collaboration with CFT. This role involves managing psychrometric labs operation, and ensuring complete product quality through verification and compliance testing of RAC/PAC/VRF air conditioner products.
You will be responsible for all Lab Operation and overall management, maintenance, safety, continous improvement and KPI achievement. The role ensures accurate, reliable, and timely execution of product performance testing in compliance with international standards, supporting new product development, certification, and quality assurance activities.
How you will do it:
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills and understanding of testing methodologies.
- Apply knowledge of HVAC testing standards like IS 1391 Part 1 & 2, ISO 5151, IS 18728, IS 8148, ISO 15042, ISO 13253, AHRI 1230, AHRI 210/240 etc. for RAC/PAC/VRF air conditioner products.
- Lead day-to-day operations of psychrometric test laboratories and achieve Lab KPIs.
- Ensure uninterrupted testing activities through effective resource planning.
- Monitor test progress and ensure on-time project completion.
- Manage laboratory manpower, shifts, and workload distribution.
- Deep understanding of RAC/PAC/VRF air conditioner product working & its critical component functionality.
- Support product certification, compliance, and regulatory approvals (e.g., AHRI, ISO, EN standards)
- Maintain & execute operations of all test lab & its facilities.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for product & test lab failures.
- Ensure test plans & reports completion for performance, cycle reliability & structure validation testing.
- Execution of Preventive maintenance plan and there by ensure no/less breakdown.
- Maintain laboratory compliance with ISO 17025 and internal quality systems.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits.
- Ensure proper documentation, records, and traceability of testing activities.
- Ensure compliance with EHS requirements.
- Build technical competency through training and mentoring.
- Well versed with 5S & Kaizen.
What we look for:
Required
- BE/B.Tech. in Mechanical or related engineering field.
- 8+ years in lab operation, performance & cycle validation testing for new product development.
- Strong background in RAC/PAC/VRF product testing standards & compliance requirements.
- Willing and able to travel within and outside India for project needs.
Preferred
- Experience in Lab operation management and execute RAC/PAC/VRF product validation projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across technical and non-technical teams and collaboration with CFTs.
- Product testing & validation knowledge and experience in RAC/PAC/VRF air conditioning systems.
Qualifications- BE/B.Tech. in Mechanical or related engineering field.
