Why you want this job
As a channel Manager for YouTube Advertising, you’ll own the end-to-end strategy, execution, and performance of our YouTube campaigns. This includes everything from in-stream and discovery ads to leveraging YouTube’s advanced targeting and analytics tools. Your role will be pivotal in optimizing our YouTube presence, building brand equity, and driving key business metrics like traffic growth, lead generation, and conversions.
What you’ll do
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a YouTube-first advertising strategy that leverages both brand and performance marketing goals.
- Campaign Management: Manage all aspects of YouTube advertising, including in-stream, discovery, bumper ads, and YouTube Shorts. Optimize campaigns for performance using Google Ads and YouTube’s Ads Manager.
- Audience Targeting & Segmentation: Leverage YouTube’s advanced targeting options, including affinity, custom intent, and lookalike audiences, to reach the right viewers at the right time.
- Creative Best Practices: Work closely with the creative team to develop platform-specific assets, including skippable and non-skippable ads, Shorts, and long-form content, ensuring alignment with YouTube’s best practices for engagement and performance.
- Performance Analytics: Use YouTube Analytics, Google Ads, and third-party tools to track key metrics like view-through rates (VTR), watch time, click-through rates (CTR), cost-per-view (CPV), and conversions. Continuously analyze performance to drive data-driven optimizations.
- Experimentation & Testing: Run A/B tests on creative formats, ad lengths, and targeting strategies to maximize ROI. Stay ahead of algorithm changes and trends on the platform.
- Market Awareness: Stay ahead of industry trends and YouTube-specific innovations to keep our advertising strategy cutting-edge.
- Reporting & Insights: Create detailed performance reports, including brand lift studies and customer journey analysis, to showcase the impact of YouTube campaigns on broader business goals.
What you'll need
- Proven experience managing YouTube advertising campaigns with a proven track record of driving results.
- Strong analytical skills with a history of optimizing campaigns for measurable business outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of YouTube-specific ad formats, targeting options, and optimization techniques.
- Expertise in audience segmentation, including custom intent and lookalike audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to craft video-first strategies that balance brand-building and performance outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with creative, analytics, and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field preferred but not required.
