About the opportunity
The Manager, Workforce Planning provides strategic leadership of workforce planning and operational coordination within a large student services environment. Working across a complex portfolio, the role drives demand-based resourcing, optimises rostering approaches, and delivers insights that inform senior decision-making. This is a key role influencing workforce strategy to support consistent, high-quality service delivery and operational performance.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
work closely with senior stakeholders and operational leaders to align workforce strategy with service demand
lead portfolio-wide workforce planning, including rostering strategy and resource optimisation
oversee scheduling and operational support services to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency
deliver advanced reporting and analytics to inform strategic and operational decision-making
manage workforce-related financials including budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure oversight
lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workforce planning processes and service delivery
About you
demonstrated experience in workforce planning, rostering, and operational leadership in a complex environment
proven ability to develop and implement workforce strategies using data, analytics, and demand-driven models
experience managing cross-functional budgets, financial forecasting, and workforce-related expenditure
strong understanding of student administration processes and systems within a tertiary environment
experience leading reporting and analytics functions to support strategic decision-making
relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
