Manager, Workday and HR Information Systems

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Onsite Manager of Workday and HR Information Systems to join our team and help optimize, implement, and grow our Workday HCM system. In this position, you will collaborate with multi-functional teams, IT departments, and business partners to guarantee that Workday aligns with the organization's objectives and propels technological progress.

Responsibilities:  

  • Owns the global development, implementation, and maintenance of Workday based on expert-level understanding of core HR functionalities, including recruiting, compensation, payroll, time, absence, integrations, learning and performance management
  • Partners closely with HR, IT, and Business partners to gather requirements, architect solutions, build a technology roadmap, and drive the implementation and testing in Workday
  • Maintain knowledge of HR business practices and technology to provide appropriate level of support to end-users 
  • Demonstrate high-level problem-solving techniques to identify issues and take corrective actions to resolve 
  • Plan for and maintain the HR technical work backlog and provide status reports to leadership team
  • Hire, lead, and manage a dynamic team of direct reports, contractors, and vendors to create an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and provide regular feedback on employee performance – mentoring and coaching for employee growth or implementing improvement plans as needed.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives to maintain a motivated workforce – positively represent corporate communications to influence outcomes that support business strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with Allison Policies and manage employee relations matters as needed.

Required Experience and Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience supporting ERP/HR applications 
  • 4+ years demonstrated ability as an Sr. HR Analyst, Sr. IT Analyst, or similar role 
  • 4+ years demonstrated ability coordinating HRIS configurations and business processes within Workday 
  • Supervisory or managerial experience preferred
  • Vendor management experience preferred
  • Workday Pro Certification preferred
  • Project management and prioritization experience preferred 

Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
