Neighbor is seeking a Senior UX Designer to help shape the future of our renter experience. This person will report directly to a Co-Founder and the VP of Product & Design. They will act as a mentor and thought partner to the other designers at Neighbor and collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and leadership to ensure our customer experiences are consistent, high-quality, and impactful.
This person will own the Renter team’s core experiences, specifically our paying customers’ search and checkout flows. They will be responsible for creating intuitive, delightful, and effective design solutions that help renters discover, evaluate, and book storage seamlessly.
This is not a remote opportunity. All applicants will be required to work full time in our Lehi, Utah location.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality experiences across iOS, Android, and web platforms
- Partner closely with product, engineering, and other departments
- Lead customer-centric research and share insights broadly across the company
- Bring intensity and urgency to projects, helping the team move quickly while maintaining high quality
- Evolve and maintain and maintain consistency across the Neighbor brand system—including color, typography, iconography, illustration, and imagery
- Mentor and support other designers, providing feedback and guidance to strengthen design craft and collaboration
Qualifications
- Superb visual design skill suited for a consumer app marketplace
- Ideally 5+ years of experience in product design (UX/UI), with a strong focus on mobile (iOS, Android, and responsive web)
- Ability to think big and understand complex feature sets
- Proven track record of designing and shipping successful products across multiple platforms
- Strong growth mindset and passion for data driven impact
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (Figma preferred)
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work well on an ego-free, highly collaborative, and cross-functional team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
- Availability to work full time at our Lehi, Utah location
