The Role:

We’re looking for a marketing leader who is passionate and capable of bringing world-class media campaigns to life. This role will focus specifically on managing paid media campaigns across our Series, Non-Fiction and LIVE slate. This person will play a vital role in launching Netflix's new and returning series in both the US and Canada to generate meaningful awareness and conversation around some of the biggest titles in entertainment.

Job Responsibilities:

Title Level Paid Media Strategic Framework 

  • Understand, interpret and apply insights/data from multiple teams early in a campaign’s lifecycle to inform and build the media campaign’s framework 

  • Develop audience approach, channel strategy and distribution rollout (independent of agency)

  • Lead internal teams in developing innovative, cross-functional paid media marketing strategies for slate level campaigns and title launches (inclusive of traditional media, digital, social, OOH, stunts, etc.)

  • Partner with internal departments to bring ideas to life 

Execution

  • Collaborate with teams across different skill sets and departments to execute on innovative and buzzworthy marketing campaigns 

  • Collaborate on campaign planning between creative, social, publicity, partner marketing, consumer products, agencies (experiential, media, etc.,), and operational teams to drive flawless execution of campaigns 

  • Seek unique opportunities that build earned media in the marketplace

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to manage talent relationships 

  • Manage day-to-day plan execution and work alongside marketing teams to ensure creative is well aligned to drive conversation around the Netflix series slate 

  • Manage media agency on development of marketing tactics and ultimate execution of the campaign 

Analysis 

  • Work closely with internal teams, such as Consumer Insights and Marketing Strategy & Operations, to drive information gathering and data analysis efforts that result in campaign optimization and future enhancement of media plans 

  • Provide cross functional teams with updates and POVs on key consumer trends

Qualifications:

  • Can flourish in our unique company culture 

  • Natural team leadership skills with the ability to conceptualize and articulate a marketing/media plan

  • Experience and passion for building great marketing programs and series launches 

  • A history of creating disruptive messaging that generates earned media and social buzz

  • Fluency in managing large scale media budgets responsibly and flexibly for a range of programs

  • An ability to effectively provide input on creative development from a regional and audience-led perspective

  • Solid digital skills and fluency in the digital space with understanding of the various digital buying environments as well as tracking and testing 

  • Strong analytical skills 

  • Strong level of independence and efficiency

  • Great communication and interpersonal skills

  • 8+ years experience in a marketing/media role

  • Bachelor's degree preferred 

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $185,000 -$285,000.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
