In every role, McCainers are ambitious, curious, and passionate about creat ing exceptional work experiences - together . With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy.
About the role .
McCain Foods is embarking on a significant transformation of its Global Corporate Treasury function - modernising our technology, automating our processes, and building deeper treasury capability in-house. This is a foundational investment for Treasury and it will reshape how we operate for years to come.
We are looking for a Treasury Transformation Manager to be at the heart of that journey. This is a rare opportunity to lead the implementation of a new Treasury Management System (TMS), redesign how Treasury works, and help build a modern, automated, and strategically-focused function. The successful candidate will combine deep corporate treasury expertise with genuine change-agent energy - someone who is energised by eliminating manual work, championing automation and AI, and freeing the team to focus on the topics that matter most to our global and regional CFOs.
Reporting to the VP & Group Treasurer and working with the full backing and mandate of the Treasury leadership team, this role carries a clear growth trajectory. It is positioned as a foundational role in the future shape of the function, with the opportunity to grow into broader treasury leadership over time for the right individual.
What you'll be doing.
- Drive the TMS implementation. Lead the end-to-end implementation of a new Treasury Management System, acting as the internal subject-matter lead and superuser across design, configuration, testing, and go-live.
- Build capability internally. Take ownership of embedding treasury capability in-house, coordinating the transfer of knowledge from external partners into the McCain team and reducing reliance on external operational support over time.
- Redesign how Treasury works. Design and drive the shift to a more automated, standardised operating model - challenging legacy ways of working and championing the elimination of manual intervention to release capacity.
- Upskill the team. Train and support the front office and accounting teams to work effectively in the new system, optimising their use of it to minimise manual effort and maximise automation.
- Own the forward agenda. Once the core implementation is stable, lead the medium- and longer-term transformation agenda - including banking landscape optimisation, cash forecasting enhancement, and future initiatives such as advanced in-house banking and payment factory/payments-on-behalf-of (POBO).
- Lead on AI. Champion the adoption of AI across treasury processes, identifying and delivering practical use cases that improve efficiency, insight, and decision-making.
- Partner broadly. Partner effectively across operating finance teams in multiple regions, Digital Technology colleagues, and external partners (consulting, banking, and system partners) to deliver an effective implementation.
- Support continuity. During the transition, be willing to operate hands-on across day-to-day treasury and front-office activities where needed to ensure operational continuity.
What you'll need to be successful.
- Deep corporate treasury experience across core disciplines - cash management, cash pooling, liquidity forecasting, and FX risk management.
- Hands-on experience implementing or deploying treasury systems (e.g. SAP Treasury, Kyriba, FIS, or comparable), ideally through a full implementation cycle.
- A solid understanding of IFRS accounting concepts relevant to risk management, including FX and interest rate hedging.
- A genuine change-agent mindset - high energy, a bias toward automation and simplification, and the drive to move Treasury from operational execution toward strategic value.
- Demonstrable adoption of AI in your current treasury work, with the ability to articulate specific use cases and a clear point of view on how AI can elevate the function.
- Strong stakeholder skills - able to partner credibly with regional finance teams, technology colleagues, and external partners, and to bring more tenured colleagues along with patience and respect while still pushing for change.
- The judgement and presence to make informed calls on implementation approach and to challenge established ways of working constructively.
- A university degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline.
- Fluency in English.
- Exposure to transformation initiatives such as bank account rationalisation, in-house banking, payment factor/ POBO structures.
- A recognised treasury qualification (e.g. ACT) and/or an accounting qualification.
- Experience operating in a multinational, multi-currency treasury environment.
This is a chance to shape the future of treasury at a family-owned global leader in its category - to build something foundational, own it end-to-end, and grow with it. You will work closely with the VP & Group Treasurer and gain broad exposure across the global finance organisation. For an ambitious treasury professional who wants to lead a genuine transformation and build the automated, strategic, AI-enabled function of the future, there are few opportunities like it.
