Job Summary

Arcosa Aggregates is currently seeking a Manager in Training for our Texas Regional Office in Ferris, Texas. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within an aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Manager Trainee, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training under the guidance of the Regional Manager and provide support for the daily operations of the plants within the aggregates business.    

 Day to Day

  • Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
  • Assists in managing production and distribution of aggregates material.
  • Directing the work of hourly employees
  • Set production schedules.
  • Assist in equipment efficiency to maximize production.
  • Help ensure the quality of the material.
  • In training

About You

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of design is preferred.
  • Ability to think analytically and solid math skills to perform analysis.
  • Solid computer skills including MS Office products.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • This job requires individuals to walk distances, walking on rough surfaces and sitting.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Prompt, regular and predictable attendance.
  • The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required and lift weights up to 60 pounds.
  • The ability to work in a varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)

 Working Conditions
While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
