The Manager, Ticket Operations at Kansas Speedway supports our mission by overseeing ticket office operations and managing race and commemorative ticket fulfillment across properties. This role drives digital ticketing adoption to enhance the consumer experience and improve operational efficiency.
The Manager collaborates with ticketing operations staff to assess fulfillment needs and report insights to leadership, staffs and schedules ticket offices for event weekends, oversees non-digital ticket fulfillment, and hires, trains, and schedules ticket representatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees all walk-up ticket sales and customer inquiries.
- Hires, staffs, and schedules ticket office personnel and locations.
- Collaborates with the Regional Director of Ticketing, Ticketmaster, internal and external teams, and track partners to develop and execute ticketing strategies.
- Supports the implementation of key Consumer Admissions strategic initiatives.
- Evaluates and recommends improvements to enhance and simplify the digital ticket fulfillment experience.
- Regularly reviews system setup to ensure consistency and an enterprise-wide view.
- Conducts research and provides insights to support commemorative ticket and digital fulfillment decisions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with ticketing software, preferably Ticketmaster.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing with a clean driving record.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous box office, ticketing, or live event operations experience preferred.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to move initiatives from concept through execution.
- Knowledge of current and emerging technologies impacting ticket sales and operations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a fast-paced, revenue-driven environment.
- Operational knowledge of the Ticketmaster system and experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and budget management skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
- Understanding of racing and commitment to delivering an exceptional fan experience preferred.
- Customer-focused with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Work Schedule
This position requires flexibility to support race weekends, special events, and business needs. Evening, weekend, and holiday work is required, along with occasional travel as needed.
