As Manager, Test Engineering (SDET), you will lead and inspire high-performing engineering teams to drive quality across multiple product portfolios. This is a critical leadership role focused on building robust testing strategies, advancing automation, and shaping the quality architecture for Guidewire’s next-generation cloud and AI-powered solutions. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative products that transform the insurance industry.

• Attract, retain, develop, and motivate top-notch engineering talents

• Develop and implement a comprehensive end-to-end testing strategy that aligns with business objectives and goals.

• Establish and be directly responsible for the quality metrics across multiple product portfolios.

• Establish appropriate quality standards and enforce them via automation.

• Drive build, buy, and deprecation decisions for quality tooling and frameworks

• Develop and own the quality architecture.

What we like you to have

• 12+ years of Software Development or SDET experience in SaaS and/or PaaS

• 3+ years of experience in managing Test Engineers from multiple teams including their performance and career management.

• An analytical mindset and a strong bias toward automation

• Prior programming experience in Java, Go, Python or any high level languages

• Proficiency in public cloud technologies (AWS preferably), Containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and DevOps practices

• Solid understanding of system design principles, distributed systems and architecture

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying technical information to all sorts of audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your role as well as use data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Something good to have

• Experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Generative AI
