We are now looking for a Manager, Power-to-X, Technology to join UPM’s Energy transformation-team in Helsinki, Finland.

What you will do
- Provide technical engineering in early stage of PtX projects
- Manage engineering work at different stages of the projects
- Work on projects, initiatives and coordinate technical solutions and share ideas across teams and businesses
- Develop and maintain internal technical Power-to-X knowledge and skills as well as mapping and evaluating upcoming technologies
- Collaborate with OEM suppliers, able to prepare and participate in a contractual arrangement in close cooperation with the procurement organization
- Create and bring forward ideas on technical solutions to fulfill business strategy
- Assist and support business development with technical knowledge
- Fulfill a role in project management (planning, monitor deliverables, prepare steering documentation)
Who you are
- You have a degree in energy, chemical engineering or industrial engineering with at least 8-10 years of professional international experience
- You have relevant experience in development and management of large industry/asset projects in sustainable fuel, oil & gas or chemical industry
- You have experience working on complex technical installations across the different phases of a project
- You know on detail level Power-to-X and sustainable refining technologies
- You understand the related commercial aspects, from business cases to contracts and other relevant stakeholders
- You have experience in interdisciplinary and international cooperation with various stakeholders
- You have advanced abilities in incorporating both analytical and conceptual thinking
- You have strong and convincing communication skills
- You have business proficiency in English
- You have a proactive mindset and attitude towards health, safety and the environment (HSE)
