We are seeking an experienced Manager, Technical Writing to lead and elevate our documentation team as we continue to scale our products and processes to support the growth of our next-generation cloud-native security platform.
The ideal candidate combines strong leadership and mentorship skills with deep expertise in technical writing and content strategy. You’ll manage a talented team of writers, ensuring consistency and quality across deliverables, and aligning documentation initiatives with broader product and business goals.
This role calls for a proactive leader who thrives on building scalable documentation frameworks, collaborating with product and engineering leadership, and exploring new tools and technologies like in-product answer bots and AI-assisted content analysis.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of technical writers, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality output.
Train and develop level 1 writers to advance to next level
Develop and enforce documentation standards and processes.
Align documentation strategy with overall product and business goals.
Oversee the planning and execution of documentation projects.
Collaborate with product leadership to ensure documentation supports product success.
Lead pubs team meetings and 1-1s with employee writers
Key Skills:
Leadership and team management skills.
Ability to define and implement documentation standards and best practices.
Strong project management and organizational abilities.
Expertise in technical writing and knowledge-sharing strategies.
MadCap Flare & Git, or equivalent experience in complex authoring tools and workflows (XML, DITA, etc).
Interest and experience in other tooling such as analytics, style enforcement tools, AI analysis and revision and RAG.
