The Incumbent as a member of the Formulation Development Team is responsible for ensuring New Product Development and Technology Transfer of New Products as well as Reformulation of existing products as Operational Excellence Projects and disciplinary standards as established in the department.
What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
- Plan New Product development and Reformulation activities by preparing Development plan
- Plan technology transfer activities br preparing technology transfer plan.
- Supervise the development of New products and reformulation projects in the department
- Plan and execute Operational Excellence projects at the site as well as at third party sites.
- Supervise the trouble-shooting activities of commercial batches by guiding the operators.
- Co-ordinate and follow up with Planning and Warehouse and Purchase department for new raw and packing materials for development of new projects.
- Assist in development of new raw- material and packaging specifications at the site as well as at Third party sites
- Co-ordinate and follow up with engineering dept for timely availability of the services to attend breakdowns, and scheduling of maintenance of all equipemts in the department.
- Provide on the job training and guidance to the operators and trainees in the department.
- Conduct department orientation to new recruits in the department..
- Plan and execute New Vendor development activities at the site as well as at Third parties..
- Assist in the preparation of documentation like Batch Manufacturing Records, Trial Development Records ,Development protocols and Product Development Reports , Technology Transfer Protocols and Reports and revision of SOP's.
- Prepare PR's and PLN's for the consumables/change parts/machines required and received for the department.
- Initiate Change Control procedure for execution of New Projects or other changes as required in the department..
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- Pharmacy Graduate/Post Pharmacy Graduate with at least 7 to 8 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and CAD (or their equivalents)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Capacity to work effectively under pressure
- Experience in managing people within a technical environment
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
- Master's degree coupled with relevant pharmaceutical experience.
- Experience in areas such as process development, manufacturing, quality assurance, or quality control
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Experience in process tech transfer and multi-product operations
- Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
