The DX Technology & Digital team is responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including the MyDisneyExperience app and Hey, Disney!

This role reports the Sr Manager, Technical Project & Management. You will manage a team responsible for supporting program/project management function for the Disney Consumer Products (DCP) portfolio (Branded Retail, Licensing and Publishing)..

What You Will Do
  • Provides Leadership on Project and Program Management while delivering program objectives on time.

  • Maintains a strategic view over the set of projects, providing the framework for implementing business initiatives or large-scale change.

  • Provides process expertise on a set of related projects within a program.

  • Manage a team of Technical Project Managers and mentor them through the project life cycle.

  • Work with business leaders and key partners to support engineering efforts.

  • Work with engineering teams, including Software Engineers, Product Managers, Architects, and leadership to establish processes across all program areas that will ensure success on high priority business initiatives and improve efficiency.

  • Ability to articulate a technical solution into business strategy and understand the big picture as it relates to business value.

  • Identifies, plans, and coordinates projects and lead their interdependencies in support of specific business strategies.

  • Participates in the annual budgeting and operating plan to support the program.

  • Assess risks and formulates mitigation plans, successfully develops and updates project budgets as required, and delivers successful programs and projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner as shown by project statistics.

  • Supervise high-priority matrix projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration and interaction with project sponsors and teams.

  • Continually reviews available resources to maintain first-hand knowledge of where resources can be best allocated. Reevaluates current resources to resolve project resource surplus and shortfalls.

  • Ensures alignment to quality standards and reviews results.

  • Assesses program and project issues and identifies solutions to meet efficiency, quality and customer goals.

  • Leads Strategic Planning Functions

  • Provide thought partnership with delivery teams and business partners during new project conceptualization.

  • Contribute to PMO planning around Annual Capital Plan (ACP) and Long-Term Plan (LTP)

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of 8+ years of technical project/program management experience, working with technical teams developing enterprise class solutions.

  • Minimum of 5+ years leading resources with diverse skills in a strategy & portfolio management organization.

  • Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal) and time management skills with attention to detail.

  • Experience with financial management, including forecast and budget management processes.

  • Experience leading and prioritizing projects within the program and working seamlessly with various partners in a matrix organization.

  • Possess executive presence and experience in making pitches to senior leaders.

  • Ability to work efficiently and influentially at all levels in an organization.

  • Experience partnering with technology, internal business partners, and vendors.

  • Ability to successfully operate in an environment where partnership and influence are key success drivers.

  • Experience in leading, supporting, and working with large-scale matrix project teams.

  • Experience with Agile Application Lifecycle Management and development tools like JIRA, Confluence Wiki, and Smartsheet.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in supporting Disney Consumer Products, Commerce, Retail, and/or large-scale businesses and systems software development.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Education

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, Florida is $145,000-$175,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
