As Manager, Talent Acquisition (TA), you lead the attraction and acquisition of strategic talent for the APAC region. You partner with the local HR team and Business Leads to continuously evolve the TA process. You’re a natural relationship builder, partnering with our People and Culture Business Partner team to identify business needs and match them with phenomenal candidates. You are a spokesperson and facilitator for our organization, and you strive to continuously improve the way we work and how we contribute to an excellent candidate and employee experience.

 

Your portfolio includes Japan Tokyo Creation Centre, Commercial and Retail, Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong Liaison Office.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition, you will work with collaborative team of energetic global recruiters who are focused on attracting and selecting the very best candidates for our corporate, manufacturing and retail teams while ensuring an incredible candidate experience every step of the way.

If you were the Manager, Talent Acquisition now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Managing, prioritizing, and planning recruitment activities in support of your business functions
  • Developing monthly recruiting updates and presentations for executives across your departments.
  • Leading, mentoring and supporting your current and future team members, in organizational growth within the business and their personal development
  • Managing and supporting your team using key metrics (Time to hire/fill) to assess your team’s performance
  • Full cycle recruitment (Sourcing, interviewing, and selection) using the Arc’teryx values and competencies to make hiring recommendations to the business
  • Resource management for your team through high volume seasonal workloads and with supporting other TA leaders as needed for balance or prioritization
  • Updating and assisting in headcount planning meetings with both the business and the P&C business partnership team by offering market insight and data to support decisions
  • Presenting status updates to the Senior Director of TA through customized dashboards in line with our target metrics as an organization
  • Leading strategic sourcing and pipeline strategy to meet business needs and overall company objectives
  • Creating strong working relationships with senior leaders to ensure a solid understanding of recruitment needs for both their specific departments, as well as the overall business
  • Driving market health insights during headcount planning and talent beta sessions
  • Collaborating with hiring managers in candidate selection to ensure clear and unbiased decision making during the interview process
  • Developing a third party agency strategy for all markets
  • Advocating for transparency and unbiased feedback for our candidates throughout the interview process, in support of an equitable selection process
  • Managing the cleanliness of data for you and your teams requisitions via our ATS
  • Coordinating with local and global HR / People & Culture teams to ensure a seamless onboarding process
  • Supporting the People & Culture team with cross functional projects
  • Managing relocation budgets and supporting candidates through the immigration process

  • Building a regionalized TA team
  • Leading the TA team in developing and executing long-term strategies
  • Developing and improving our systems/ATS process flow and data collection for Retail and Corporate hiring
  • Helping to identify hiring and selection roadblocks, while seeking ways to improve workflows to maximize efficiencies and our time to hire
  • Actively participating in identifying and supporting TA projects and initiatives, including feedback process, hiring manager training etc.
  • Representing your area of the business in creating employer branding initiatives, content and projects 

Are you our next Manager, Talent Acquisition?

  • You have 8+ years of talent acquisition experience in a complex, global environment
  • You have 2+ years leading a TA team
  • Business Japanese Language proficiency is a strong asset
  • You have built customized recruitment strategies and can work autonomously
  • You have strong interpersonal skills with a positive and approachable work ethic, and an evident desire and ability to build strong relationships with a customer-service focused mentality
  • You are not afraid to fail and use every opportunity to learn and share
  • You are a firm supporter of diversity in the workplace, and you lead by example
  • You have an excellent command of the English language, with strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • You have strong organizational and time management skills
