The Opportunity

SKYTRAC is seeking an experienced Manager, Systems Integration to be based in our Kelowna, BC office reporting to the Senior Manager, Customer Integration. This role is responsible for leading the development and integration of technical solutions that enable SKYTRAC’s products and services on customer aircraft ensuring customer-specific product features are developed, certified, and technical issues resolved.  
The manager brings broad expertise across embedded and enterprise software, certification, customer-specific configuration, and flight data monitoring, and leads cross-functional technical teams and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to ensure successful customer delivery – with accountability at every step, driving value swiftly, and delivering speed with precision.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Ensure rapid and reliable delivery by capturing customer requirements upfront, streamlining handoff processes, and actively managing day-to-day execution risks
  • Drive continuous improvements in delivery execution, through cross-functional collaboration and operational feedback from active customer programs
  • Lead the operational delivery of customer-specific technological solutions that integrate SKYTRAC products to mee unique customer use cases
  • Oversee the design, integration, and validation of tailored solutions that encompass avionics, communication, and data management systems
  • Identify recurring execution issues and lead improvements to processes, workflows, and delivery practices in collaboration Engineering and Operations
  • Conduct structured execution and delivery reviews during execution to ensure timely decisions, corrective actions, and clear ownership
  • Align internal teams to ensure swift service delivery and timely capture of service revenue

Technical Solutions Development and Integration:

  • Lead the execution of technical solutions that enable SKYTRAC’s products and services on customer aircraft, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and delivery commitments
  • Oversee the development of customer-specific product features and the resolution of technical issues, working cross-functionally to meet customer needs
  • Provide leadership to ensure technical solutions align with applicable certification and regulatory requirements associated with aircraft installations
  • Ensures conformance to the Quality Management System (QMS)

People Management:

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of direct and indirect reports, providing ongoing coaching, professional development opportunities, and clear growth paths to enhance skills, foster engagement, and drive performance

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Problem-Solving:

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure technical execution aligns with project plans, schedules, and customer requirements
  • Lead and direct Software, FDM, DAO, and Technical Support functions to ensure aligned priorities, disciplined execution, and effective delivery of SKYTRAC’s products and services

Process Improvement and Communication:

  • Act as a key liaison between customer-facing technical teams and Engineering, ensuring that operational feedback, delivery challenges, and improvement opportunities inform product enhancements
  • Address customer and delivery issues by coordinating cross-functional teams to develop effective, executable solutions
  • Provide regular updates to senior management, highlighting delivery status, risks, mitigation actions, and required decisions, while maintaining clear and consistent communication across departments

What You Bring

Candidate Must Have’s

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Integration, or a related technical field
  • Proven experience in managing technical solution development, product integration, and aircraft systems certification
  • Strong technical expertise in systems integration, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver customer solutions

This will make you stand out

  • 7+ years of experience in systems integration, product development, or technical project management in the aviation or technology sectors
  • Experience in aircraft certification programs, avionics integration, or regulated installation projects
  • Proven ability to work with Engineering teams to feedback customer-driven technical solutions for broader product line integration

This is a new position within our Customer Integration team.

The salary range for this role is $140 000 – $160 000 CAD. The range posted is a guide and may not represent the compensation offered to the successful candidate. Compensation is based on the skills, knowledge, experience, and qualifications brought to the role.
