We’re looking for an experienced Manager Systems Infrastructure to oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our systems are reliable, secure, and optimized for performance. This role is focused on day-to-day system monitoring, troubleshooting, and handling IT infrastructure requests to keep everything running efficiently. You’ll also work closely with the Systems Engineering and Cloud teams to operationalize procedures and implement best practices.
This Hybrid role requires in-person work at our Newton, MA headquarters.

Responsibilities
- Manage IT Infrastructure: Oversee the operations of our servers, storage, and cloud services to ensure top performance and security.
- Lead & Mentor the Team: Guide and support your team, fostering growth and technical excellence.
- Work with Engineering & Cloud Teams: Collaborate with Systems Engineering and Cloud teams to operationalize new procedures and refine existing ones.
- Optimize Costs & Resources: Manage budgets and vendor contracts, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient resource allocation.
- System Maintenance: Plan and execute system upgrades, installations, and maintenance to keep our infrastructure up to date.
- Monitor & Troubleshoot: Keep a close eye on system performance and quickly resolve any issues.
- Manage Backups: Oversee backup and recovery processes to ensure data protection and business continuity.
- Oversee Server Patching: Ensure timely patching of servers and systems to maintain security and compliance.
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, IT, or a related field. 3+ years of relevant experience would be considered in lieu of degree.

3+ years IT infrastructure experience

1+ years’ experience in a lead or management role
Preferred qualifications/skills:
-
Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and coordinate operational IT functions, ensuring efficiency and reliability.

Technical Background: Strong experience in IT infrastructure, cloud environments (including Azure), and security best practices, with hands-on knowledge of virtualization (VMware) and containerization platforms (OpenShift). This expertise enables effective oversight of operations and collaboration with technical teams.

Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Ability to oversee issue resolution and ensure operational stability.

Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills to track incidents, maintain documentation, and ensure system reliability.

Communication & Collaboration: Ability to work across teams and effectively communicate technical issues.

Dev-Ops: Experience preferred but not required
