What does a successful Application Support Manager - do?

As an experienced member of DNA Shared application services team, the successful candidate will be responsible for installing, upgrading, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the security compliance of various DNA surround products. This role involves participating in Go Live/Merger events, providing on-call support, and collaborating with the Programming and Release Deployment teams.

What will you do:

• Installation, upgrades, configuration and troubleshooting of ‘packaged application code’ to internal / test and production environments

• Incident, Problem & Change Management

• Performed Database Refresh tasks for Test and Production Servers

• Familiarity with ITIL and SDLC life cycle phases

• Install/execute and fine-tuned Stored Procedures, SQL Queries and User Defined Functions.

• Handled Performance Tuning and Optimization with strong analytical troubleshooting skills for quick issue resolution in mission-critical environments

• Ability to work on complex technical issues

What you will need to have:

• Good communication and reasoning skills.

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field

• Overall, 8-12 years of experience.

• At least four years of experience in Computer Operations.

• Strong working knowledge of Unix, Windows operating environment, IIS, Batch Scripting

• Experience with SQL programming language and scripting

• Experience with certificate management

• Experienced in completing tasks(timebound) within stringent SLAs

• Experience working in the financial industry would be a benefit

• Knowledge of ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.

• Sound knowledge and practical approach towards ITIL concepts, especially, Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate with the next level teams and clients, solve major issues.

• Flexible to work in shift or weekend on business demand.

• Experience in Site Reliability

What would be great to have:

• Knowledge of CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) process, Agile methodologies, Jenkins, Git and Middleware Technology

• Automation and scripting proficiency (scheduled jobs, Splunk, Python, Selenium).
