Job Description: Spring Boot & React Development Lead

Lead the Future of Full-Stack Development with Vision and Expertise

Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled Spring Boot & React Development Lead to drive the design and implementation of scalable web applications. This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, React, and test automation with a focus on teamwork and infrastructure quality. The ideal candidate transforms requirements into reliable, high-performance products while ensuring robust testing and code quality across every stage of delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Full-Stack Development: Oversee the end-to-end system architecture, implementation, and delivery of cutting-edge web applications using Spring Boot and React.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor, motivate, and manage a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and encourage continuous learning.

  • Solution Architecture: Define and document scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures. Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and UX/UI teams to translate requirements into feasible technical solutions.

  • Agile Project Management: Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Ensure timely delivery of features and bug fixes by effectively allocating resources and prioritizing tasks.

  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce coding standards, testing protocols, and best practices. Ensure robust CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality metrics are upheld.

  • DevOps & Deployment: Oversee deployment processes, optimize application performance, and implement monitoring solutions. Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate infrastructure and ensure high availability.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a point of contact between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Present progress, solicit feedback, and translate business goals into actionable plans.

  • Technology Evangelism: Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in Java, Spring Boot, React, and related technologies. Advocate for the adoption of modern tools and frameworks to enhance productivity and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IAC) & Cloud Proficiency: Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager. Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, including deploying and scaling applications, leveraging cloud-native services, and optimizing cost and performance across distributed systems.

  • Observability & Monitoring: Proficient in application performance monitoring and end-to-end observability using Dynatrace or similar platforms, ensuring proactive identification, analysis, and remediation of system bottlenecks and incidents.

  • Test Architecture & Strategy: Deep understanding of test architecture principles, including test automation frameworks, integration testing, and continuous testing strategies to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

  • Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges across the stack, ensuring the reliability and stability of mission-critical applications.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.

  • Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot framework, and ecosystem (Spring Data, Security, MVC, REST APIs).

  • Proven hands-on experience with React.js and its core principles (state management, component lifecycle, hooks, Redux).

  • Solid knowledge of modern web architectures (REST, GraphQL, microservices) and responsive web design.

  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Expertise in version control systems, especially Git.

  • Track record of delivering complex software solutions using Agile methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to drive decision-making, resolve conflicts, and balance multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in Python for scalable backend solutions and automation.

  • Advanced Ansible skills for configuration management and deployment.

  • Hands-on experience with Dynatrace for application monitoring and performance.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with TypeScript, Next.js, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

  • Understanding of security best practices (OWASP, JWT, OAuth2, SSO).

  • Background in performance optimization, caching strategies, and application monitoring.

  • Exposure to automated testing tools (Jest, Mocha, Selenium, JUnit).

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
