The Manager of Supply Chain Analytics is responsible for leading the analytics function that enables data-driven decision-making across the end-to-end supply chain. This role manages a team of analysts who deliver actionable insights, performance reporting, and analytical solutions to optimize operations in order management, demand planning, supply planning, logistics, distribution, and sales.

With a strong focus on delivering “on time and in full,” this position serves as the analytical partner to functional leadership, translating complex operational data into strategic intelligence that improves service levels, optimizes inventory, reduces costs, and enhances overall supply chain performance.

Job Description

ANALYTICS & BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE

Develop and maintain comprehensive analytics frameworks, dashboards, and reports to track enterprise supply chain KPIs, including accuracy, inventory turns, fill rates, on-time delivery, order cycle times, and related metrics.

Conduct scenario analyses and what-if modeling to support strategic planning and resource allocation decisions. Provide visibility into operational health across all supply chain functions, and prepare executive-level reporting packages that synthesize complex data into clear, actionable narratives for leadership decision-making.

Lead root cause analysis initiatives to identify performance gaps, service failures, and operational inefficiencies across the supply chain, and present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Validate data inputs in the VMI planning area to ensure accurate replenishment recommendations, build trust in the system, and leverage scale. Establish cyclical review protocols, data governance standards, analytical methodologies, and best practices that ensure data integrity, consistency, and the generation of actionable insights.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PARTNERSHP & INFLUENCE

Collaborate with leaders in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Order Management, Logistics, Distribution, and Sales to identify analytical needs and translate business questions into data-driven solutions.

Provide analytical support for S&OP processes, including demand reviews, supply reviews, and executive alignment meetings; monitor plan-versus-actual performance and conduct variance analysis.

Support New Product Introduction (NPI) launches by delivering data-driven insights on demand patterns, supply readiness, and launch performance tracking.

PROCESS OPTIMIZATION & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Identify opportunities to use system capabilities for automation, improved reporting, and predictive analytics, and collaborate with the IT team to enhance the analytics platform.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making across the operations teams.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AND TRAINING

Team Leadership: Directly manage a team of Operations Analysts and Senior Operations Analysts, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to develop their analytical, technical, and business skills.

Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, quarterly check-ins, and annual performance evaluations, and set clear goals that align with departmental and enterprise objectives.

Foster a culture of curiosity, analytical rigor, accountability, and continuous learning.

Skill Leadership: Identify training needs and create development plans for team members in areas such as advanced analytics, data visualization, business intelligence tools, and supply chain domain knowledge.

Build the team’s technical capabilities in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel.

Develop business partnering and communication skills to ensure that analysts can effectively translate data into actionable business insights.

MASTER DATA MANAGEMENT AND SYSTEMS SUPPORT

Systems Expertise: Serve as a power user and subject-matter expert for analytics capabilities within SAP IBP, ERP systems, and business intelligence platforms.

Lead the adoption and optimization of business intelligence tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to enable self-service analytics and real-time performance visibility across the organization.

Identify opportunities to improve system reporting, automate manual processes, and leverage advanced analytics capabilities, including machine learning and predictive modeling.

Qualifications

Analytics Leadership: 7+ of progressive experience in supply chain analytics, business intelligence, or operations research, including at least three years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Supply Chain Expertise: Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, including demand planning, supply planning, order management, logistics, and inventory management.

Advanced Analytics: Proven ability to design key performance indicators (KPIs), build predictive models, perform statistical analysis, and convert complex data into practical business insights.

People Leadership: Demonstrated success in managing, developing, and motivating analytical teams; experienced in conducting performance reviews and fostering team engagement.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in SQL, Power BI or Tableau, and Excel. Experience with Python, R, or similar analytical programming languages is preferred. Hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP IBP, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, or comparable platforms.

Process Improvement: Experience leading data-driven process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

Business Partnering: Strong ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional leaders, translate business requirements into analytical solutions, and influence decision-making through clear, data-driven storytelling.

Change Management: Experience leading teams through transformation initiatives, system implementations, and organizational change.

Education

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA or MS) in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline.

Certifications: APICS CPIM or CSCP strongly preferred. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is an advantage. Certifications in data analytics or business intelligence tools are also valued.

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $138,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
