Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is currently hiring a Transportation Manager Supply Chain 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse, individuals. This position will be located onsite in Palmdale, California.

The Manager in this role will be responsible for the direct supervision and management of their delegated staff. The Manager’s team will consist of approximately 15+ direct reports who will support in Transportation activities for a program.
Objectives:
- To manage the transportation operations within the company and ensure that all activities are carried out in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- To oversee the daily activities of the transportation team and ensure that they are in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- To provide guidance and support to the team members and identify areas of improvement to enhance their performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement transportation plans and strategies that align with company goals.
- Manage the delivery of goods and materials to and from company facilities and ensure on-time delivery.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of transportation equipment and vehicles.
- Monitor transportation expenses and implement cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective communication and coordination of transportation activities.
- Ensure that the transportation team is properly trained and equipped to perform their duties and maintain a safe work environment.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Stay informed of industry regulations and trends, and implement necessary changes to comply with regulations.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience as defined below, Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience as defined below, or high school diploma/equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience as defined below.
- Relevant experience includes professional and/or military background in transportation operations, supply chain, logistics, engineering, or related field.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience leading a team, process, and/or project
- At minimum, an active U.S. Government Secret level clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry trends.
