Job SummaryThis position is responsible for representing the needs of a defined functional domain (e.g., Customer Service, IT, Health Care Management, or Data & Analytics) within the Supplier Management organization. The role serves as the primary interface between HCSC business and technology stakeholders and assigned suppliers, ensuring supplier services align with business objectives, contractual obligations, and operational requirements.The IT Vendor Manager will assess, identify, and partner with internal stakeholders to execute strategic opportunities that improve supplier management practices, supplier performance, and overall value delivered. This includes driving consistent governance, performance transparency, and issue resolution across the supplier portfolio.
Key responsibilities include building, managing, and overseeing supplier relationships through ongoing performance management, contract compliance monitoring, risk and issue management, and escalation coordination. Ensures suppliers meet service‑level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and regulatory or security requirements that support HCSC operations.
The position is also responsible for implementing supplier management strategies and developing scalable processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms to strengthen oversight, improve operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement. This includes supporting enterprise initiatives related to vendor governance, performance optimization, and supplier lifecycle management.
The role requires strong stakeholder influence, supplier relationship management, and operational excellence expertise, with healthcare experience preferred.
Required Job Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of process improvement of core operational functions OR 9 years of process improvement of core operational functions and managing supplier relationships. This should include experience playing lead role in program/project level delivery.
*1 year management experience
*Project management experience and effective team leadership skills.
*Business knowledge to help HCSC Operations achieve service targets.
*Experience managing supplier relationships and performance.
*Experience managing difficult relationships and resolving conflict.
*Ability to influence, negotiate, and execute while navigating customer relationships.
*Hands on experience using modern operational excellence and continuous improvement methods (LEAN, TPM, 6 Sigma, TQM) with basic knowledge of these methodologies.
*Clear and concise verbal and written communication, analytical and collaboration skills.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
*Master’s degree.
*Healthcare experience.
*2-4 years management experience
*Formal training in operational excellence methods, such as LEAN, TPM, 6 Sigma.
