Overview:
The Global Pricing & Interchange (P&IC) team plays a critical role in shaping Mastercard's economic strategy and supporting profitable growth across markets. The team partners closely with regional teams and global business units to design, align, and execute pricing and interchange strategies under a consistent global framework.
The team leads high-impact initiatives that require enterprise-wide coordination, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration. With visibility into some of Mastercard's most important commercial priorities, the team influences key business decisions by driving revenue optimization, simplifying commercial constructs, enhancing customer and employee experiences, and ensuring adherence to pricing and interchange principles.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy, analytics, product, and commercial execution while helping shape Mastercard's future economic model globally.
Role:
The Manager, Global Pricing & Interchange Strategy plays a key part in developing and executing pricing and interchange strategies, advancing transformation initiatives, building data-driven tools and frameworks, and providing analytical insight to support strategic business decisions. The position also serves as a key partner to regional, product, services, finance, and commercial teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:• Support the execution of Mastercard's global pricing and interchange strategy and transformation initiatives.• Drive initiatives from ideation through business case development, stakeholder alignment, regional syndication, and implementation.• Develop creative, fact-based solutions to complex business challenges and lead cross-functional teams toward successful execution.• Conduct strategic and financial analyses to evaluate new opportunities, benchmark performance, and inform pricing and interchange decisions.• Leverage and enhance analytical models to evaluate economic strategy, competitive positioning, and value creation across the four-party payments ecosystem.• Partner with regional and global stakeholders to ensure alignment of business objectives and successful project delivery.• Communicate progress, insights, recommendations, and risks effectively to leadership and key stakeholders.• Contribute to the continuous evolution of tools, methodologies, and capabilities that support Mastercard's pricing and interchange decision-making.
All About You:• Demonstrated experience applying financial, strategic, and business management principles to solve complex business problems.• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including business case development, P&L forecasting, ROI analysis, cost-benefit assessments, and scenario modeling.• Strategic thinker with a strong bias for action, attention to detail, and focus on execution.• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large and complex data sets into actionable business insights.• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence and build alignment across stakeholders without direct authority.• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a concise and compelling manner.• Ability to effectively collaborate across functions, geographies, and organizational levels.• Advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data mining and analytics tools, including Power BI, Tableau, Python, and related technologies.• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining high-quality execution.• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.• Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing junior team members.• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.• Willingness to travel globally on a limited, as-needed basis.
