Job Description

The Strategic Pricing Manager plays a pivotal role in offering extensive financial analysis and strategic direction to senior management regarding revenue and expense. The incumbent is expected to perform thorough financial risk evaluations for Enterprise and SMB customers and closely work with the sales executives to mitigate organizational risks proactively.

Key tasks include resolving customer billing issues and managing disputes related to incentives. Furthermore, the role also encompasses the development and implementation of pricing strategies that maximize profits while ensuring customer satisfaction and business sustainability.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Perform comprehensive financial analysis and deliver strategic guidance to senior leadership on matters of revenue and expense.
  • Conduct in-depth financial risk assessments for Enterprise/SMB customers.
  • Collaborate closely with sales executives to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Manage and resolve customer billing issues promptly and professionally.
  • Manages the Deal Desk, coordinating pricing, product configuration, and business terms processes during sales cycle
  • Handle disputes related to incentives and implement fair and mutually beneficial resolutions.
  • Develop and execute effective pricing strategies that maximize profits and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develops detailed understanding of business plan and its components; communicates and collaborates closely with marketing, leadership and sales teams to establish goals
  • Continuously monitor market trends and competitors' pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness.
  • Provide pricing guidance and support to sales and product management teams.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement pricing changes and ensure consistency across platforms.
  • Lead special projects related to pricing strategy and execution as needed.
  • Conducts detailed analysis of the district’s existing and potential revenue and profit industry segment; positions within segment (conversion, penetration, retention) and determines gaps relative to segment potential; geographically maps and quantifies

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. MBA or other related advanced degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Pricing Manager, Financial Analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of financial analysis, risk assessment, and pricing strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage disputes effectively.
  • Proficient in financial software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data in an understandable manner.
  • Knowledge of the current market trends and competitive pricing strategies.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Knowledge of enterprise and SMB customers' specific needs and potential risks.
