Job Description
The role
We are looking for a Manager, Strategic Partnerships to join the Strategic Partnerships team to drive growth and manage a book of partners in the North America market. You will be responsible for growing and deepening our partnerships as well as helping drive net new opportunities for the direct sales teams. Partners include but are not limited to agencies, system integrators, complimentary technology partners, and payment consultancies. Based in San Francisco and reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, you’ll have ownership over how Checkout.com partners in this critical market and abundant opportunity to grow your scope and career through demonstrated impact.
This role is hands-on and highly cross-functional, where you’ll work with some of the brightest minds in payments & fintech across product, engineering, sales, and marketing. With a combination of strategy, scrappiness, and grit, you’ll build and expand relationships with the key stakeholders in e-commerce and payment ecosystems to ensure Checkout.com is always top of mind and a ‘partner-of-choice’. In line with regional commercial priorities, you’ll execute innovative partnership initiatives and GTM to bring Checkout.com’s best-in-class solutions to potential customers.
How you’ll make an impact
- Laser focused on driving net new revenue to Checkout.com via brand new and existing strategic partnerships
- Leading all aspects of partner management across the region by being accountable for relationship development and growth, implementation of GTM strategies, performance discussions, distribution and enablement of Checkout.com products and integrations through partners
- Driving partnership growth through ongoing partner sales enablement initiatives, account mapping, marketing campaigns, and partnership collaboration with quantifiable results in mind
- Balancing resourceful outreach with data-driven focus, tracking success through KPIs and working closely with the regional sales leader to prioritize workload and deliver results in tandem, ensuring alignment at all times
- Organizing and attending partner meetups, industry events, and other in-person meetings to deepen relationships, becoming a critical voice and evangelizing Checkout.com, our products and integrations to net new and existing partners
- Executing on and tracking quarterly revenue targets and other key success metrics for the partner portfolio
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
- Experience in Partnerships, Business Development, Sales, or Account Management roles at a technology, e-commerce, payments, or financial services company
- Well-connected in the e-commerce and fintech space, preferably with a network of key agencies, SI and complementary technology partners
- Understanding of payments preferred, or ability to quickly learn complex concepts
- Confident in relationship building and public speaking with high EQ and a sense of humility and humor
- Able to flourish in a fast-paced start-up environment: proactive, self-motivated, results-oriented, and organized
- Having a high degree of initiative and self-direction with the ability to develop comprehensive partnership strategies - and follow through on them.
- Collaborative and open, with experience working with product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams preferred
Additional Information
Please note that this position is hybrid-based in our San Francisco Office, 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).
California law requires Checkout.com to include in job postings a reasonable estimated salary range for this position. However, final salaries may vary subject to several factors, such as a candidate’s level, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and proficiency for the role. Please note that this information is provided for those in San Francisco only, and this role is open to candidates outside of San Francisco as well.
For regular full-time employees in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range is from 133,000.00 USD to 156,000.00 USD.
Sales Commission: Additionally, this role is eligible to earn commission on sales
