Position Summary

This is a hands-on growth development opportunity within Taurus Industrial Group's Specialty Products, Rentals & Sales division. The Manager will own day-to-day initiatives driving rental tool utilization, OEM parts sales, and client acquisition across a largely greenfield territory.

Headquartered out of the Pasadena, TX campus, this position is suited for a commercially self-directed professional who is equally comfortable developing client relationships at the senior and mid-manager level as well as the Project Manager/Superintendent level, and calling net-new accounts and opportunities. The successful candidate will bring an owner's mentality to growing the rental fleet revenue base and OEM product pipeline from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Growth (Business Development & Sales)

  • Execute a proactive strategy targeting Petrochemical, Refining, Power Generation, Mining, and adjacent industrial sectors.
  • Drive rental tool revenue growth through disciplined fleet utilization management, client onboarding, and territory development, including cold calling in a greenfield market environment.
  • Develop and grow OEM parts sales relationships, identifying new accounts and expanding share-of-wallet with existing clients.
  • Maintain a structured sales pipeline, call cadence, and account management discipline; provide regular revenue forecasts to division leadership.
  • Conduct presentations, site visits, and quarterly reviews to strengthen relationships and identify upsell opportunities.

Rental Fleet & Inventory Deployment

  • Drive discipline in rental tool inventory, asset tracking, and fleet availability to maximize return on deployed assets.
  • Coordinate with operations and logistics to ensure tools are job-ready, properly certified, and efficiently mobilized.
  • Identify gaps in the rental product offering and provide input on capital investment decisions to support revenue growth. Consider consignments, rent to own, etc.

 Operations & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Specialty Services field teams, depot repair, and machining operations to deliver integrated solutions and support cross-sell opportunities.
  • Support project execution quality and customer satisfaction on rental and OEM transactions.
  • Interface with other OEM supplier relationships to maintain pricing competitiveness and product availability.
  • Provide input on pricing strategy, quoting, and margin targets in alignment with division P&L objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related industrial discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in industrial sales, specialty services, or equipment rentals.
  • Demonstrated track record of growing revenue; experience with territory development strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial rental tools and/or OEM parts sales; technical knowledge in on-site machining, torque & tensioning, heat treating, or related disciplines is a plus.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, effective with both field-level and executive-level contacts.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, pipeline management, and sales reporting.
  • Willingness to travel regionally to client sites, job sites, and branch locations across the U.S. as necessary.
Attributes
  • Entrepreneurial and self-directed; drives results without waiting for direction.
  • Comfortable building structure in a greenfield environment.
  • Customer-centric with a long-term relationship mindset and a bias toward action.
  • Collaborative team player who engages across business units to deliver one-Taurus solutions.
  • Holds self and others accountable to commitments, timelines, and performance standards.
