Position Description:
Ceribell, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Finance Manager to join our rapidly-growing finance team. The Strategic Finance Manager’s priority is to develop a deep understanding of the business and actively seek out opportunities to drive growth over the long term. This individual will be required to collaborate across all departments and will have direct exposure to the leadership team. Projects will require strategic thinking, analysis, modeling and building recommendations for senior leadership. Reporting is a critical element of the role and must be handled with extreme integrity. The ideal applicant will have a background in Investment Banking, Private Equity and/or startup strategic finance and business operations.
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of two days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the Chief Financial Officer and the leadership team to provide financial insights, stability, and direction for the organization
- Build financial and operational optimization models by using exploratory data analysis techniques and multiple data sources
- Build partnerships with operational leads and cross-functional stakeholders, supporting initiatives across the organization with insights and ad-hoc analyses
- Identify inefficiencies or risks in the business and proactively design processes and policies to mitigate
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and execution of the company's strategic plan (and sometimes lead this process). Implement, track, and manage a wide range of projects related to the strategic plan.
- Refine and report on business KPIs; develop and utilize data-driven analytics to generate value-added insights and actionable recommendations to identify areas of business risk and opportunity as well as drive growth and organizational goals
- Lead ad hoc strategic projects
- Manage communication channels with the Board, investors, bankers, and research analysts
Requirements/Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from a top institution in a relevant field such as business or economics
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting
- Prior strategic finance or industry experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Sharp, details-oriented, data-driven and creative approach to problem-solving and unfazed by ambiguity
- Ability to prioritize, take ownership and work independently fueled by intrinsic motivation and outcome-oriented mindset
- Have an analytic and structured approach coupled with hands on mentality to problem solve for excellence and continuous improvement
- Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills
- Expert level Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills ∙ Comfort working with senior management
- Eager to learn and grow with positive energy in an ever-changing environment
A candidate’s final salary offer will be based on their skills, education, work location and experience, and thus it may differ from the posted range. Compensation may also include bonuses consistent with Ceribell’s corporate compensation plan. Compensation Range
$150,000—$170,000 USD
