We are looking for a strategic and creative Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the growth and brand positioning of the Bhumi Fellowship as one of India’s most aspirational youth leadership opportunities.

You will work closely with program, partnerships, and leadership teams to accelerate the Fellowship’s growth and influence.
About the Program:
The Bhumi Fellowship is designed to bring in smart young people to transform Indian education.
This professional programme will develop youth into change leaders who enable schools to function better as an ecosystem.
By 2035, 400 change leaders will impact over 3 million children across India.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategize innovative marketing and communication initiatives and deploy industry best practices to build and strengthen the Bhumi Fellowship brand among youth audiences
- Design and monitor targeted online and offline recruitment campaigns to attract high-quality Fellowship applicants.
- Provide on-field direction and support to ensure high-quality production of storytelling content, including videos, testimonials, and impact stories that authentically showcase the Fellowship journey
- Manage the Fellowship marketing budget effectively and optimize investments to improve return on investment (ROI) and campaign efficiency year on year
- Mentor the Fellowship marketing team, ensuring high ownership, strong execution, and achievement of ambitious marketing and recruitment goals
Other Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials, digital content, campaign assets, and press releases to ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across all platforms
- Lead the social media strategy to strengthen the visibility and engagement of the Bhumi Fellowship
- Collaborate closely with Fellows, alumni, and program teams to capture and amplify powerful stories, experiences, and impact from the Fellowship
- Analyze campaign performance and marketing effectiveness using data and analytics, and share insights and recommendations with leadership periodically
- Continuously identify new growth channels, partnerships, and innovative approaches to expand Fellowship reach and brand visibility
Educational Qualification/Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in the marketing / communications role
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in marketing, journalism, business, or related field
- Prior experience of working or volunteering with NGOs
Knowledge & Skill sets required:
- Creatively curious mind with a flair for copywriting and content creation for traditional as well as new-age social media channels
- Good understanding of web analytics, digital and social media marketing
- Ability to leverage AI-driven marketing tools and automation frameworks to improve efficiency, personalization, and campaign ROI
- Expert level written and verbal communication skills
- Good verbal communication skills in Tamil
- Use latest measurement frameworks for performance-driven marketing
- An effective storyteller and build the brand using related and consistent content
- Should be tech savvy. Knowledge of marketing tech stack is good to have
- Willingness to work in a multicultural environment, network and collaborate with volunteer coordinators based out of cities where Bhumi is present
- Strong project management skills with ability to supervise multiple projects
- Proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategy
