Director, Pre-Construction and Specification
What You Will Be Doing
The Manager of Specifications will have the following responsibilities:
- Drive specification sales across new construction, renovation projects and large retail accounts
- Develop and onboard Manufacturer’s Rep Agencies for the representation of our product
- Identify top Spec writers across the country and develop a plan to engage in training/informational events to increase their ChargePoint product knowledge
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities via outreach & enablement of AEC firms
- Align with existing ChargePoint sales teams (regional AEs, Channel Verticals, Distribution, Partners, etc.) through technical expertise and a high level of customer service
- Represent ChargePoint at Industry trade organizations and networking events
- Become a technical expert on ChargePoint products (SW & HW features & benefits) for our specification customers, end-users, and trade partners
- Utilize Dodge and other platforms to identify and engage major players in the construction industry.
- Create and Deliver CEU courses for Architect and Engineer roles
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (technical or engineering degree preferred)
- 8+ years of Specification Sales or Specification experience
- Self-starter, driven, and motivated individual who would thrive in both technical and sales roles
- Passion for Sales, working with the design community, and understanding the construction sales cycle
- Demonstrated ability to learn technical product features and explain benefits
- Experience solving complex problems within a team environment
- Prior architectural product or EVSE design experience preferred
- Must have a collaborative mentality, and a desire to work closely with cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $58,500 to $173,725. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
