Position Overview:
The Manager, Small Business Segment is part of the SME team, responsible for supporting Mastercard's small business initiatives in Indonesia. Based in Jakarta, this role reports to the Director SME business, Indonesia.
The individual will be responsible for supporting small business prepaid, debit and credit cards performance, which includes executing strategy, product development, analysis and reporting, and sharing best practices with our partners.
This role will support Small Business market development and sales execution. The individual will collaborate with the Regional Product organization and Account Teams to achieve market targets across spend, customer acquisition, market share, and revenue growth.
Role:
The key objectives of this role are to support growth of the Small Business prepaid, debit and credit card portfolios, and achieve agreed targets in terms of new wins, customer activation, pipeline development, spend volumes and revenue through the following activities:• Develop solid understanding of payment market products and programs from both issuer and end-user client perspective. Support development of differentiated features and value propositions to optimize existing programs and drive new business with bank partners, third-party providers, fintechs, and the startup ecosystem.• Partner with Account Teams, Marketing, Loyalty, Finance, Pricing & Interchange, Franchise, Legal, and Customer Delivery, as well as external partners, to support product launches and go-to-market initiatives in Indonesia.• Monitor the landscape of competitive products and industry trends, understand implications, and provide insights and recommendations to support market strategy execution on the Mastercard Small Business cards portfolio.• Support consultative sales effort and partner engagements through strong capabilities and understand of Mastercard's solution, contributing to positioning Mastercard as a preferred partner for SME payments.• Support digital enablement initiatives (e.g., digital-first solutions, contactless, tokenization) within the Small Business segment by working with partners to drive adoption and improve customer experience.• Assist in communication of new products, services, platforms, and enhancements to internal stakeholders and external partners through structured updates, presentations, and client engagements.
All About You:• Strong execution and project management skills, with ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment• Relevant industry experience preferred, such as payments, cards, financial services, fintech, or SME segment• Demonstrated ability to support business growth initiatives and drive implementation of key projects• Strong team player with good communication and presentation skills• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills• Self-motivated and able to operate within a cross-functional team environment• Skilled in management reporting and deriving insights from data to support decision making• Strong in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel & AI Tools
Basic qualification: 5-8 years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree
Preferred qualification: 6-10 years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree or 5-8 years of experience with an advanced degree (eg. Masters, MBA)
