The Manager, Sourcing will lead a team of 2-4 Sourcing Coordinators, personally handle Xometry's most complex orders, optimize existing processes, and drive exceptional team performance. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of independently sourcing and managing orders, sharp problem-solving skills, and an unwavering commitment to finding solutions for the hardest orders in order to consistently hit targets.

  • Maintain readiness to step in and place orders directly at any time, even as the role evolves toward management.

Sourcing Strategy & Execution

  • Ensure the team can effectively triage orders by identifying potential manufacturing and quoting issues (e.g., tolerances, design limitations, material availability).
  • Identify and implement alternative sourcing strategies for difficult-to-place orders.
  • Build and actively manage direct relationships with manufacturing partners, proactively communicating capacity gaps and constraints across the network.

Re-Quotes & Problem Order Management

  • Own resolution of problem orders requiring re-quotes, working directly with Sales to align on pricing, scope, and customer communication.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Manufacturing, and Customer Service to devise recovery strategies for assigned orders.
  • Develop and implement continuous process improvements to boost sourcing efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.
