About the Role
The Solutions Middle Office manages security pricing controls, NAV calculations, fee modelling, and portfolio rebalancing across Feeder/Master/Multi Book structures. The team also sets trading levels and instructs FX hedges related to client capital flows. It develops tools and reporting solutions used across the firm, leveraging AI, Python, Excel, and internal databases. As a Specialist, you will run key operational processes, drive process improvements, support change initiatives, and identify operational or valuation issues across the business.
This role is a 9-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Using the firm's systems and tools, daily review and analyse fund P&L across asset classes to assist reporting performance to the Solutions business
- Calculate fund NAV on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, including checking accrued income and expenses
- Liaise with fund administrator(s) to reconcile final fund NAVs
- Review FX exposures and report to Asset Managers, highlighting currency hedging requirements
- Reconcile records between Custodians, Prime Brokers and the investment engine's internal records, coordinating investigation and correction of breaking items
- Provide ad-hoc reports to Asset Managers and senior management on performance and historic trading analysis
- Review existing systems, processes, procedures and MIS to identify areas for enhancement
- Represent the team on wider Man projects such as trading system enhancements and regulatory change integration
- Support new business, transitions, migration projects and fund of fund execution
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders including Operations, Finance, Management, Business COOs and Technology leads
- Oversee and monitor service providers
- Comply with all company policies on risk, compliance and confidentiality. Anticipate, identify and manage risk issues, escalating as necessary
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or CFA holder preferred
- Proven experience as a Middle Office Accountant or Product Controller from a top-tier Investment Bank or Asset Manager
- Strong understanding of traded financial instruments
- Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
