We are looking for an experienced and driven leader, with great energy, passion and initiative to manage a highly motivated Pre-Sales Solutions Architecture team.

MongoDB Pre-Sales Solution Architects partner with the rest of the go to market team to help our customers craft and build solutions to address their business needs. Our team is made up of top-tier software architects, entrepreneurs, and developers who take direct responsibility for customer success. As an integral component of the sales team, they help shoulder the responsibility of generating revenue, by strategically interfacing with the customer and becoming the trusted advisor. 

As a leader in Pre-Sales Solutions Architecture, you will cultivate a stellar team. You will partner closely with our sales counterparts to define, improve and execute our sales initiatives in the enterprise market.  You will be integral  to driving the business forward, by developing  both our pre-sales and sales practices and by bringing the voice of experience.

Candidate Profile

  • 4+ years of pre-sales experience, with strong commercial skills
  • 3+ years Management experience, ideally in pre-sales, distributed team management preferred
  • Results oriented, with a track record of overachievement (Circle of Excellence, Leader of the Year, etc.)
  • Driven – you possess a strong desire to be successful
  • Focused – you are skilled in managing time and resources and have a sound approach to technically qualifying opportunities
  • Intelligent – you possess an aptitude to learn quickly and establish credibility
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Database industry background a plus
  • Software development background a plus
  • The ability to travel up to 30%
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Position Expectations

  • Recruit, retain, and develop top pre-sales talent across multiple countries
  • Partner with our sales teams to help ensure success in accounts ranging from mid-to-large enterprises
  • Work closely with the Professional Services team to achieve customer happiness and with Marketing to conduct seminars, trade shows and other marketing related events
  • Foster strong and effective relationships with customers, resulting in growth opportunities
  • Coach the team to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual bookings objectives

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with employer match, mental health counseling, backup child and elder care, and health, dental, and vision benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to candidates based in Canada.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in Canada is:

$158,000$220,000 CAD
